The Blue Butterfly’s mission is to empower individuals to create clarity, focus, and purpose in their lives. Our unique programs incorporate insights from the VIA Institute’s Character Strengths and Ivey Business School’s Leader Character Framework, bringing a modern approach to personal growth and professional development.

Founder and Lead Facilitator

Sonja Bruschetto, MHSc, CHE

Meet Sonja, our Founder and Lead Facilitator at the Blue Butterfly, as well as a researcher at the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership. With a background in Psychology and Health Sciences, Sonja is certified as a Health Executive (CHE) by the College of Health Leaders. Her work focuses on mindfulness, character development, leadership, resilience, and health promotion.

 

Sonja is certified in the Mindfulness-Based Strengths Program (MBSP) and motivational interviewing. She has co-authored articles on mindfulness and character and contributed to a forthcoming Peace Psychology book series.

 

Sonja's dedication lies in bridging research with practice to enhance well-being and advocate for health promotion.

Leadership Consultant

Dr. Lucas Monzani

Dr. Monzani is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Ivey Business School (Western University) and holds the Troost Professorship in Leadership. He earned a Ph.D. in Psychology of Human Resources from the University of Valencia and an Erasmus Mundus Master in Work, Organizational, and Personnel Psychology.

​

His research focuses on advanced concepts in organizational behavior. Dr. Monzani also works as an executive consultant, with extensive experience in leadership potential assessment and development, executive coaching, advanced recruitment and selection techniques, and virtual team-building. He has collaborated as an external consultant with the department of peacekeeping operation (DPKO) of the United Nations.

Health and Leadership Consultant

Dr. Cassie Ellis

Dr. Ellis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Kinesiology, Western University, and Manager of Sport Performance. She completed her Ph.D. in Kinesiology at Western University, where her research focused on enhancing physical activity's pleasurable experience and the use of music.

​

Dr. Ellis also studies leader character with a specific focus on character development through various methods like music, improvisation, and mindfulness. Collaborating with others, she has developed a theory explaining the interconnectedness of our anatomical systems and our ability to control our demonstrative behavior, irrespective of context.

Mindfulness and Personal Growth

Pamela Hill, MA

Pamela is a mindfulness and personal growth facilitator with a Master's degree in psychology. She is dedicated to helping others improve their well-being through mindfulness techniques and sustainable practices.

With a compassionate and supportive approach, Pamela creates a brave space for her clients to explore mindfulness techniques and develop sustainable practices. Her genuine enthusiasm for assisting others shines through in her sessions, where she provides valuable insights and practical tools to navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience.

Emily Fard

With a passion for creating harmonious living spaces, Emily provides personalized coaching to help clients declutter and organize their homes effectively. Her workshops are designed to offer practical strategies and tools for maintaining a clutter-free and peaceful environment.

Emily's has meticulously created a line of organizational products to complement her coaching and workshops, providing clients with the resources they need to sustain a harmonious home and life. Through her work, Emily is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for her clients by transforming their living spaces into organized, stress-free sanctuaries.
